Golden Gate Park is an urban Park. It is home to some of San Francisco's most-visited attractions, including the Japanese Tea Garden, the San Francisco Botanical Garden, the de Young Museum, and the California Academy of Sciences.

Coit Tower is a 210-foot tower in the Telegraph Hill neighborhood of San Francisco, overlooking the city and San Francisco Bay. The memorial was built in 1933, after Lillie Hitchcock donated one-third of her estate to the city to help with its beautification.

Alcatraz was the site of the first lighthouse in the Western United States but became a federal penitentiary from 1934 to 1963, housing famous convicts. A visit to the island includes a tour of the cell house where the prisoners lived.

Sonoma Country is a slightly more laid-back and family friendly destination than Napa with over 500 wineries. The wines are genuine and delicious. It's most well-known wines are Pinot Noir, Rose, Sauvignon Blanc, and Zinfandel. 

The Berkeley Rose Garden is located in the East Bay. The garden includes a redwood pergola, 4 tennis courts, picnic area, hiking trails, foot bridge, semi-circular terraced amphitheater and an ornamental pool.
